In last year’s population estimate, Italy has a total of 59,131, 287 inhabitants at a total land area of 116,346.5 square meters. The number of people is equally identified as a contributory factor on its massive growth development in Gross Domestic Products.
Its three biggest population density is found in Rome and Milan and Naples. Rome has the biggest number of people reaching almost three million inhabitants while Milan and Naples have over a million each. The lowest in inhabitants is the Sicily Region which has only over 300,000 inhabitants.

Tourism Destination
Italy’s capital city, Rome, is the center of Catholicism and mostly visited by the faithfuls. Inside the city is also the small Vatican City where the Pope lives. That makes it a city within a city. Faithfuls frequently visited Rome to see the dwelling of the Pope as well to listen to his pronouncements. Christian faithfuls believe the Pope is the alter ego of the Almighty Father.

The City of Milan is also a frequently visited city because of its impressive developments in the fashion industry. Many of the world’s famous designers come from Milan and their great fashion and style have reach all over the globe.

Great Architecture Landscape

Italy is also home for great architecture. Among the most famous include the Colosseum in Rome, the most enduring symbol of the country, the Monreale Cathedral in Sicily, and the Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Italy and Western Europe.

Religion in Italy
Although the center of Catholic faith, Italy is no longer the state’s religion. 87.8 percent of the Italians are Roman Catholics but only 36.8 percent are known to be active members. There is also the presence of Eastern Orthodox Christians, 700,000; Greek Orthodox, 180,000; Pentecostals, 550,000; and the Evangelicals which include: Assemblies of God, 400,000; Assemblies of God, 235,685; including all other believers which have below 30,000 members.
